  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey if you prefer)
  • 1/2 yellow onion – chopped
  • 1 orange bell pepper – chopped
  • 1 large can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can black beans – including juice
  • 1 can kidney beans – including juice
  • 1 can diced tomatoes – including juice
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • salt to taste

In a large pot, brown your meat, breaking it up as it cooks.

About half way through the browning process, add your onion and bell pepper.

Cook together until meat is fully browned.

Time to add the beans and tomato products!

Dump in your crushed tomatoes, kidney beans,  black beans and diced tomatoes – juice and all.

Mix the veggies together and throw in your seasonings, worcestershire and salt to taste.

Stir the seasonings in the mixture well. Let the chili simmer for 20 minutes. Give it a stir once every few minutes then serve!

SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve with sour cream and cheddar, serve over tortilla chips or over fresh fries or tator tots. Chili can be quite versatile…
