Iced Berry Green Tea


  • 11 cups water
  • 10 green tea bags
  • 2 cups berries of your choice
  • 24 ice cubes
  • lemon to garnish, if desired


As we all know, making a cup of tea or glass of iced tea isn’t exactly rocket science. Since it only takes a very brief amount of time to accomplish, this page is not going to be very long

I have been drinking iced green tea lately but wanted something with a little different taste. Instead of adding sugar to the mix, I thought, why not add some natural flavors with natural sugars? So here’s how you can get it done!

Bring 11 cups of water and 2 cups of berries to a rolling boil. You can see blueberries, raspberries and strawberries in the photo below.

I used fresh, but frozen will work just as well!

Turn off the stove’s heat and add 10 green tea bags to the water and berry mix.

Let this steep for about 10 minutes.

While it is doing so, take a spoon and kind of mush the berries around to break them open. You taste more flavor this way!

After 1o minutes has passed, take out the tea bags and discard.

Dump 24 ice cubes into a large pitcher.

Using a ladle, carefully pour the berry green tea over the ice cubes and stir.

Place pitcher in refrigerator for about 3 hours until totally chilled.

Or, if you’re impatient like me, pour it over a glass of ice, stir and enjoy!

  3. Take tea bags out and discard.
  4. Place 24 ice cubes into a large pitcher and carefully ladle the tea and berries out of the pot and over the ice.
  5. Refrigerate for 3 hours or until chilled.
  6. Garnish with lemon and enjoy!
