Halloween Heath Cookies

  • 1 cup room temperature butter
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • red food coloring
  • yellow food coloring
  • 1 bag Heath Milk Chocolate Toffee Bits
  • 1/2 cup Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips

      *Preheat oven to 350°

In a stand up mixer (hand mixer works great too!) cream together sugar and butter.

After it is nice and smooth, add your eggs and vanilla until incorporated.

Add your baking soda and baking powder. Then, little by little, so there isn’t a mess 🙂 – add the flour!

Now the “Halloween” part!!! You can make the dough as dark or light orange color as you’d like!

If I counted correctly, I added 20 drops of red food coloring and 25 drops of yellow.

Play with it to see the color you want!

Now, the second “Halloween” part! Add the candy – Heath bits and PB chips that is!

Chill the dough for at least an hour. Once it’s chilled, roll the dough into balls and place on a greased baking sheet.

These spread out so make sure you leave enough room between each ball of dough.

Bake for 12 minutes at 350°

Cool for a few minutes before transferring to wire rack.

Mangia!
