Snickers No Bake Cookies

As a kid, I loved when my mom made no bakes. Not just the peanut butter kind but the chocolate peanut butter kind. In kindergarten this is what I brought in to share for my birthday treat. My friend Rebecca -still friends w her to this day, was also excited to celebrate my 6th birthday with me with this rich little treat. I’m not sure why I remember that?  Just a random moment from my childhood. 🙂 Here’s a childhood favorite of mine with a little extra goodness added!


  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 4 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoons vanilla
  • 3 cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • 4 finely chopped Snickers bars (use regular not fun-sized)


Before starting the cookies, chop up your Snickers bars into small pieces for use later on. It will just be easy to have them readily available.

In a medium saucepan on medium heat, combine butter and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Stir constantly.

Add evaporated milk, vanilla and cocoa. Stir until cocoa is incorporated.

Get the peanut butter into this chocolate mixture and stir until melted.

Remove from heat.

In a large mixing bowl, measure out your oats.

Pour the chocolate and peanut butter mixture into the oats. My mom always told me to add the liquid to the oats and it always turns out, so….

Add the liquid to the oats, NOT the oats to the liquid!

Stir together and add your Snickers!

Mix until it all comes together.

Using a spoon, drop the mixture into dollops on a parchment lined baking sheet and place in refrigerator until the cookies harden and are ready to eat!

I made big cookeis this time. I usually do small ones and I would actually suggest smaller ones because these are quite rich – totally up to you!

  3. Add milk, vanilla and cocoa stirring until cocoa is dissolved.
  4. Spoon in peanut butter whisking until melted. Remove from heat.
  5. Measure out your oats into a large mixing bowl and add the liquid mixture to the oats. Mix until oats are coated with the peanut butter and chocolate liquid.
  6. Add Snickers pieces and stir until everything is combined.
  7. Use a spoon and drop the mixture into small dollops onto a wax or parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  8. Place in refrigerator until hardened.
  9. Mangia!
