I’ve seen all kinds of Stuffed Pepper Recipes online and wanted to do one of my own. My husband is a huge pizza fan so I thought, “oh, pizza!” Gave it a whirl and he loved it!
- 1 lb Ground Turkey Sausage or Ground Beef
- 3 Green Bell Peppers
- Garlic Powder
- Parmesan Cheese
- Any other pizza toppings you prefer
*preheat oven to 375 degrees
I chose to do turkey sausage for the filling of my peppers. You can use turkey, ground chicken or ground beef if that’s what you prefer!
Whichever meat it is you prefer, brown it up real nice in a pan with some salt, pepper, garlic powder and parmesan.
While the meat is cooking through, you can make the pizza sauce!

While the meat and sauce are cooking, prepare your peppers by. I slicing them in half, washing them, and cutting off some of that stuff from the inside. You know that light green weird stuff on the insides of the pepper? Or guts if you will!!!?? Anyways, get rid of the seeds and place the peppers skin side down in a baking dish. Once the meat is done, fill the insides of the peppers…
…and top them with your pizza sauce!!
After the sauce come your toppings! I kept it simple with just cheese and pepperoni.
Ready to bake! Bake uncovered with foil, for about 45 minutes. When they are done, take the foil off the dish, turn on the broiler and let them broil until the cheese becomes nice and bubbly and brown. Mmmmm my favoeite way to eat the cheese on a pizza!! The broiling process only took about 3-4 minutes and it was done!
